MR Credit 4: Recycled Content

Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% of the total value of the materials in the project for 1 point; or 20% of the total value for 2 points.

Indoor Environmental Quality

IEQ Credit 4.1: Low-Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants

Adhesives must meet or exceed the VOC limits of South Coast Air Quality Mgmt District Rule #1168 for 1 point.

IEQ Credit 4.3: Low-Emitting Materials: Flooring Systems

All flooring systems must meet or exceed the Carpet and Rug Institute Green Label Testing Program (carpet), FloorScore, GREENGUARD or equivalent, based on California 1350, to achieve 1 point.

ID Credit: Innovation in Design Cradle to Cradle

Project teams may be able to achieve ID points if the building contains 2.5% Cradle to Cradle certified products where silver certified is weighted 50%, Gold certified 100%, and Platinum 200%.

Bentley's NexStep® Cushion tile, AFIRMA™ Hardback tile and High PerformancePC broadloom are Cradle to Cradle v2 Certified at the Silver level.

ID Credit: Innovation in Design NSF 140

Products certified to the NSF 140 Sustainability Assessment for Carpet Standard may contribute to the Innovation in Design Credit if the building contains 2.5% of NSF 140 certified products, where Silver certified counts 50%, Gold certified counts 100%, and Platinum counts 200%.

Bentley's NexStep® Cushion tile and Prestige Plus broadloom products are certified to the NSF 140 Sustainability Assessment for Carpet Standard at the Platinum level. High PerformancePC broadloom and and Optimum Barrier™ II broadloom are certified at the Gold level.
