Learn more about Bentley’s sustainability program and accomplishments – environmental goals, recognition and more.
Bentley Mills is the world’s first and only LEED-EB Gold carpet manufacturing facility.
The building we call home was built in 1967. In 1979, Bentley Mills opened its doors and began manufacturing carpet. As our business grew, our awareness of our footprint did too, and by 1999 we made big changes in the way we powered our operations. By 2007, we had fully adapted our existing manufacturing facility to LEED EB: O+M Silver, the first manufacturing facility of any kind to do so. 2012 was the year our building was re-certified to LEED EB: O+M Gold, the only commercial carpet company with this certification.
